The latest generation of mobile communications creates a basis for completely new customer experiences. These include augmented reality or the networking of machines in industry and smart devices. Today, consumers are already benefiting from the digitization of many areas of life. Via 5G, the Telekom network reaches peak transmission rates of up to 1 gigabit per second, opening up completely new possibilities for developers and their technologies.
To this end, Telekom has set up a unique 5G test field in Berlin. In the hubraum, leading European telecommunications companies and innovative start-ups focus on the core topics of 5G and the IoT (Internet of Things). The tech giant benefits from the ingenuity and determination of young companies, while newcomers to the industry gain access to future technologies and Telekom’s infrastructure. The hubraum also offers a prototyping campus with support from experts, business know-how and a freely accessible co-working space.
Together with experts from Telekom, we will be one of only 5 startups going to shape hubraum’s experience. We will work on our promising use case Avoidance of all rear-end collisions on the highway with our technology SINTRA reverse. For the test environment, we have application servers connected to Telekom’s 5G standalone network and edge cloud. Telekom is the first major network operator to make its 5G network accessible to third parties via APIs.
